I wonder if some recent update patches may have changed something? I searched this cable on some online stores from my country, but none seemed to have it in their stock, so this idea dropped at the first time. You can't even easily restrict the windows update without huge workaround. But for some reason, the sound only plays through my computer, even though it is connected to the tv. check over here
